The latest episode of How I Met Your Mother : Autumn of Breakups is one of the better episodes so far but a sad one for Victoria as Ted just broke up with her. If you missed it, you can watch How I Met Your Mother online.
Well, if Elliot's new character is as dynamic as the new Victoria, I might need to rethink my whole stand on this. The reveal of the Mother should be engaging and fun. It shouldn't be done on a whim. This latest relationship between Ted and Victoria was neither. I do wish that How I Met Your Mother would make things more interesting with Ted's latest girlfriend.
In the process of breaking up with Victoria, Marshall and Lily act as his sassy advice friends by giving him various advices on how to deal with his relationship. In the meantime, Marshall tried to be the sassy black friend that gives out advices to people but ended up hated by everyone due to his bad advices.
The subplot of this episode feature Barney and his new found wingman. With Ted busy with his latest disaster girlfriend, Barney needed a wingman, and found one - a dog. Barney found Brover, a stray dog on the street and took him under his wing. He gave Brover the job of his lifetime as his wingman and also his best friend. Barney and Brover did lots of things together and even went various places as best buddies in sharp suits. Brover was even invited to the bar and made the centerpiece as ladies group around him. For my taste, allowing a dog in a bar is borderline irresponsible. It's such a cheap trick to pull to date girls. Besides the fact that it is rather unclean, regardless of how many times Barney bath Brover.
Their relationship eventually ended when Brover's real owner found him. Barney was devastated to let go of Brover who turned out to be Mr.Sprinkles. He managed to get some lady love when his owner invited him in though.
The face Barney made when he had to leave Brover was the same one he made when he found out Robin didn't break up with Kevin while he broke up with Nora. After this latest breakup, Barney was willing to climb to Robin's balcony and do crazy things just to win her heart. Damn. Barney's having a hard time. I sure hope we get to see him be with Robin soon.
The final relationship that is still standing would be Robin and Nick's. Nick, the boyfriend so far with so little development you can mistake him for just another guy is still with Robin. With that said, things are looking up for Nick, at least in this latest episode of HIMYM. As a cook, Nick is trying to coin his catch phrase for a local cooking show. Nick got some minor character development when he accepted the fact that Robin has a lot of guy friends and he is okay with it.
